Left-hand wave formed at the mouth of the Urdaibai estuary, considered one of the best of its kind in the world, with waves that can reach 400 meters in length. It hosted the Billabong Pro Mundaka event of the world surfing circuit (ASP World Tour) between 1998 and 2009.
