The church of Santa María, a former Benedictine priory, was built in ashlar with a 16th-century Plateresque doorway and a square tower; its Gothic vaults were repaired between 1698 and 1704 with Baroque elements, and it preserves a dome on pendentives painted in the 17th century. The village also preserves houses bearing coats of arms with arched doorways and shields on their façades, and together with Lanciego was one of the few municipalities in the area with traditional olive oil production.
