Puente sobre el Ebro de Lapuebla de Labarca Historical milestone · Lapuebla de Labarca, Cuadrilla de Laguardia-Rioja Alavesa, Álava The village's name recalls the old ferry that used to cross the Ebro at this point; it was one of the last settlements of Rioja Alavesa to be established, first documented in 1369 as a hamlet of Laguardia, holding the title of villa since 1631. The ferry was replaced by a suspension bridge and, in 1939, by the current concrete bridge. Photo: Zarateman (CC0) What to see and do in Lapuebla de Labarca
