La fusión municipal de 1958 Historical milestone · Arraia-Maeztu, Cuadrilla de Campezo-Montaña Alavesa, Álava Image of Arraia-Maeztu, not of the place itself. The present-day municipality was born in 1958 from the union of the former municipalities of Apellániz, Arraya, and Laminoria (the latter itself formed from six hamlets: Alecha, Arenaza, Cicujano, Ibisate, Leorza, and Musitu). It was first called "Maestu" and adopted the compound name "Arraia-Maeztu" in 1987. Photo: Mentxuwiki (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Arraia-Maeztu
