Banks of the Miño in Arbo Nature · Arbo, Paradanta, Pontevedra Image of Arbo, not of the place itself. Here the river cuts between granite hillsides planted with terraced vineyards, with river islands, rapids and still pools where the pesqueiras are set up; it is the stretch of the river with the strongest lamprey-fishing tradition. The pesqueiras of Arbo are unique constructions on both sides of the riverbed, shaped like stone parallelepipeds that reach into the channel from the two banks, traditionally used to catch lamprey and salmon with conical nets.
