Cape Udra Nature · Bueu, Morrazo, Pontevedra Peninsula between the Ría de Pontevedra and the Ría de Aldán, declared a site of Community importance in 2004 and a special area of conservation in 2014, with eight kilometres of coastline, wind-sculpted rocks and passing cetaceans. The protected area, 623 hectares in size and mostly marine, is shared between the municipalities of Bueu and Cangas, with a much smaller share in the latter, and runs from Mourisca beach, in Beluso, to the Punta do Niño do Corvo, already in Aldán. The coast, gently shaped over granite rock, alternates cliffs with heathland (queirogais) and sandbanks with shallow coves containing reefs; inland there are peat bogs and riverside woodland. Its fauna includes the bottlenose dolphin and the harbour porpoise, as well as fourteen bird species of interest. Photo: Beninho (CC BY-SA 2.5 es) What to see and do in Bueu
