Chapter House of the Palms, Oseira Monument · San Cristovo de Cea, Carballiño, Ourense Image of San Cristovo de Cea, not of the place itself. Raised at the end of the fifteenth century in the Cistercian monastery of Oseira, it is a square room supported by four columns of twisted, fluted shaft, without capitals, whose ribs open out in the vault like a palm grove of stone and end in rosettes carved on the keystones; known as the Room of the Palms, it is the most celebrated piece of the monastery.
