Festival of o Pan de Cea

La festa do pan de Cea has been held on the first Sunday of July in San Cristovo de Cea since 1991, in honour of the baking trade that sustains a large part of the local economy, and it is declared a Festa de Interese Turístico de Galicia (Spain's Galician region tourism-interest designation, awarded by the regional government). Its celebration has spurred the recovery of the municipality's traditional wood-fired ovens and the building of new ones, which keep working the rest of the year; the municipality also dedicated a monument to the bakers in recognition of this trade.
