Pilgrimage of o San Vitoiro Activity · A Pobra do Brollón, Terra de Lemos, Lugo Image of A Pobra do Brollón, not of the place itself. A pilgrimage held on 27 August at the chapel of San Vitoiro, perched above six hundred metres in the sierra da Trapa, next to the river Saa, about 8 kilometres from the municipal capital; pilgrims climb up from the villages of the valley to spend the day. San Vitoiro is the patron saint of seven places in the municipality — Forgas, O Busto, Covadelas, Lebrón, Penadexo, Pradelas and Teixeira — and tradition holds that the saint appeared in this spot, which is why the chapel was built in the mid-19th century. The festival lasts two days, the 27th and 28th, with religious ceremonies and open-air dances, and it is customary for families of the municipality to spend the day eating by the river.
