San Martiño de Mondoñedo, seat of the Breton bishops

Historical milestone · Foz, Mariña Central, Lugo

Image of Foz, not of the place itself.

The church raised beside the coast of Foz functioned from the 9th century as an episcopal see before the bishopric moved inland; that is why it keeps in local memory the title of the oldest cathedral in Spain.
