San Roque churchyard cross Monument · Melide, Terra de Melide, A Coruña 14th-century Gothic cross located next to the chapel of San Roque, in the churchyard of the same name in Melide. It rests on a stone base with an octagonal column of more recent workmanship, joined to it by an iron ring. The front face shows Christ in Majesty, arms raised and palms open facing forward, and the back the scene of the Crucifixion. Castelao described it in 1950 as the oldest wayside cross in Galicia, and it still retains traces of the original polychromy that decorated its figures.
