The longest stretch of sand in the concello, some 1,800 metres of beach with an average width of 80 metres, set within the ría do Burgo formed by the mouth of the Mero; its gentle swell makes it a regular spot for beginner surfers. Located in Perillo, it is an urban beach of fine golden sand, very busy in summer, where artisanal fishing and shellfish gathering are practised alongside sports such as windsurfing and kitesurfing, and which has also hosted concerts; the nearby seafront promenade brings together much of the area's hospitality trade.
