Dolmen of Pedra Moura de Aldemunde Nature · Carballo, Bergantiños, A Coruña The dolmen of Pedra Moura, on the hill in the parish of Aldemunde, is one of the largest in Galicia in terms of the size of its slabs, measuring 2.40 by 3.20 metres; the mound has disappeared and the orthostats have shifted, so that only two retain their original position and five of the seven chantos that made it up remain, the tallest 2.30 metres high. It was raised between 3500 and 2700 BC and forms part of the future Parque Arqueolóxico do Megalitismo da Costa da Morte. According to legend, the stone was brought by a moura who carried it on her head while spinning and breastfeeding a baby. Photo: Lameiro (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Carballo
