Camino de Fisterra-Muxía through Negreira Activity · Negreira, Barcala, A Coruña Image of Negreira, not of the place itself. The Camiño de Fisterra-Muxía is the only one of the Caminos de Santiago that begins in Compostela itself, as a continuation of the pilgrimage for those wishing to reach the end of the ancient world at Fisterra or to visit the sanctuary of the Virxe da Barca in Muxía. Its first stage, of around 21 kilometres, ends at Negreira after crossing the Tambre by Ponte Maceira; the town has a public hostel and is where the pilgrim enters the comarca da Barcala.
