Dolmen of Axeitos Nature · Ribeira, Barbanza, A Coruña The Axeitos dolmen, also called the anta de Axeitos or Pedra do Mouro, is one of the best-known megalithic funerary monuments in Galicia. It is located in the parish of San Martiño de Oleiros, in the municipality of Ribeira, within the Barbanza peninsula, and is a passage grave with chamber dated to the 4th millennium BC, formed by seven orthostats supporting a large capstone, with the passage oriented to the east. Small in size, it stands out for the balance of its forms; no finds are known from its interior, attributed to looting suffered over time. Declared a Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection) on 11 March 1978, it belongs to the Diputación de La Coruña.
