The municipal term of Pinofranqueado preserves several groups of Neolithic rock carvings, among them the one known as 'Tesito de los Cuchillos' or 'Pisadas de los Moros,' between Castillo and Las Erías, which also includes Roman-era inscriptions, as well as other carvings near Sauceda and Mesegal.
