De La Zarza a Conquista de la Sierra

The village was called "La Zarza" from the fourteenth century; in 1626 Juan Fernando Pizarro, who had purchased the royal rights and held the title of Marqués de la Conquista, gave it the name "Conquista", to which "de la Sierra" was added in the 1916 reform.
