Templo romano de Los Mármoles (Augustóbriga) Monument · Bohonal de Ibor, Campo Arañuelo, Cáceres 2nd-century Roman temple belonging to the ancient city of Augustóbriga (present-day Talavera la Vieja), popularly known as 'Los Mármoles' for the shine of its ornamental elements. When the Valdecañas reservoir was built, which would flood the Roman city, the temple was declared a heritage asset and dismantled in 1963, first being rebuilt on the shore within the municipal territory of Peraleda de la Mata; a disagreement over access led to it being dismantled again and rebuilt on the opposite bank, in Bohonal de Ibor, next to the present-day EX-118 road. 1963 (desmontaje y traslado) Photo: Wikichap33 (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Bohonal de Ibor
