Orellana de la Sierra
Village
Small municipality of 250 inhabitants (2025) at 403 m altitude, between the Sierra de Orellana and the Orellana reservoir, 4 km from Orellana la Vieja. Its population dates from the 14th century, possibly over an earlier Muslim settlement; in 1594 it was part of the Tierra de Trujillo. Also known as 'Orellanita', it preserves the García Bejarano fortress-palace and the 15th-century parish church of the Espíritu Santo.
Fortaleza-Palacio de García Bejarano

A granite fortress-palace, today restored for residential use, which belonged to the Bejarano family, who would in time adopt the surname Orellana.
