The pilgrimage of Aras de los Olmos is held on 25 April in honour of Saint Mark, patron of the municipality, and is one of the spring festive dates in the Los Serranos region. Residents prepare gachas in the square, a traditional dish made from maize, as the central part of the day. The celebration closes with a pilgrimage to the hermitage of Saint Catherine, in honour of the saint. The municipality also holds another pilgrimage to this same sanctuary on 25 November.
