Bufali Village · Bufali, La Vall d'Albaida, Valencia Bufali is one of the smallest municipalities of La Vall d'Albaida, in Valencia, with 162 inhabitants (INE 2025). Its origin goes back to an Arab hamlet, documented as Bohali, recorded in the Llibre del Repartiment of King James I. It lives from dry farming, with olive trees, cereals, vines and carob trees, and today has a textile industrial estate. The parish church, dedicated to Nuestra Señora de Loreto, was built in 1574 and rebuilt after the flood of 1884. Next to the Albaida river the Fuente del río is preserved, today a recreational area, and on the Loma de la Solaneta, the 17th-century ice house, at risk of collapse. The patron saint festivities are held from 15 to 20 August, in honour of the Virgen de Loreto and the Cristo de la Pobreza. Photo: 19Tarrestnom65 (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Bufali
