From the county to the marquisate of Albaida Historical milestone · Albaida, La Vall d'Albaida, Valencia Image of Albaida, not of the place itself. Juan II granted in 1477 the title of count of Albaida to the Milà d'Aragó family, lords of the villa, and in 1604 Felipe III raised it to a marquisate. The palace of the Milà i Aragó, of the 15th century, still presides over the town's main square. 1477-1604 Photo: Coentor (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Albaida
