Real de Gandia Village · Real de Gandia (el), La Safor, Valencia Real de Gandia is a municipality of La Safor, with 2,722 inhabitants (INE 2025), situated in the huerta of Gandia, on a sedimentary plain between the Serpis river and the first foothills of the Mondúver massif. Linked for centuries to the duchy of that city, its economy rests on the growing and trading of citrus fruit, above all oranges. Its parish church is dedicated to the Visitation of the Virgin, and within its municipal area lies the Cueva de la Autopista, the largest known cavity in the Valencian Community, with about 4,500 metres of surveyed galleries. It holds its patron saint festivities from the first Sunday of August in honour of the Virgin of the Rosary and Saints Abdon and Sennen.
