Church of Nuestra Señora de Sales Monument · Sueca, La Ribera Baixa, Valencia The royal church of Our Lady of Sales, the main church of Sueca, was built between 1753 and 1772 to a design by the architect fray Luis de Cabezas, in Neoclassical style, and is notable for its dome covered in blue tiles. Inside it holds a large canvas attributed to the workshop of Juan de Juanes. Pope Leo XIII named the Virgin of Sales patroness of the city on 12 August 1902. The church stands next to the Franciscan convent founded by Juan de Ribera at the start of the 17th century, and both buildings have been declared Bienes de Relevancia Local (a local-level heritage protection designation) since 1998.
