L'Énova Village · Énova (l'), La Ribera Alta, Valencia L'Énova is one of the smallest municipalities of La Ribera Alta, situated at the foot of the Lloma del Baladre, next to the river Albaida and surrounded by orange groves, with which the neighbouring town of Manuel forms a conurbation. Its origins go back to Roman times: it retains one of the best-preserved Roman quarries in the Comunitat Valenciana, linked to the villa of Publius Cornelius, of the gens Cornelia, where baths, mosaics and a small temple dedicated to Hercules were found. A Roman road connected the quarries of the area, and on the rock of the term the grooves left by ox carts remain at the ancient fork of the Heraclea and Augusta roads. The land is still irrigated by the séquia Comuna de l'Ènova, documented since the 14th century. Photo: 19Tarrestnom65 (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Énova (l')
