Cave of la Cocina Nature · Dos Aguas, La Hoya de Buñol, Valencia Cave located on the right bank of the barranco de Cinto Ventanas, at 400 meters of altitude, in the municipality of Dos Aguas, in La Hoya de Buñol. It contains a prehistoric site with Mesolithic and Neolithic paintings, inhabited from the seventh millennium BC until the Eneolithic. In the 1940s Luis Pericot located a group of rock paintings near the entrance; later studies by Javier Fortea and, in the late 1980s, by Anna Alonso and Alexandre Grimal, identified them as Levantine Art, between 10,000 and 6,500 years old, the work of hunter-gatherer groups of the Epipaleolithic. This frieze, like the rest of those in the Comunidad Valenciana, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1998.
