Tower of the Garcés de Marcilla Monument · Torrebaja, El Rincón de Ademuz, Valencia The keep of the Garcés de Marcilla forms part of the manor house of the same name, in the hamlet of Torrealta, in the municipality of Torrebaja (El Rincón de Ademuz, Valencia). The Garcés de Marcilla lineage held, from its origins, the small lordship of Torrealta, an exception to the Crown's direct rule over these lands since the 13th century. After the abolition of lordships during the Liberal Triennium, the property passed to the Baron of Andilla, who in the early 20th century gave the Casa Grande and the keep to his administrator Manuel Roselló Adalid, whose descendants are the owners today. The building consists of the dwelling, with a round-arched doorway, and the keep, rectangular in plan with brick walls over four levels, which preserves remains of the defensive hoarding.
