Hermitage of San Francisco de Asís de Náquera Monument · Náquera, El Camp de Túria, Valencia The hermitage of San Francisco de Asís, one of the heritage points of interest in Náquera within the El Camp de Túria district, is a neo-Gothic building built by the villagers themselves between 1919 and 1921 and blessed and opened in October 1922. It replaced a provisional chapel which had in turn succeeded the hermitage of la Ràpita, already documented in 1603. Inside it preserves an altarpiece by Vicente Macip, from the 15th-16th centuries, and the complex is completed by a calvary of fourteen chapels and a viewpoint over the Gulf of Valencia. It stands on the hillside in the upper part of the village. Its patronal festivities, dedicated to San Francisco de Asís and la Encarnación, are held from 1 to 4 October.
