Church of San Miguel Arcángel de Quart de les Valls Monument · Quart de les Valls, El Camp de Morvedre, Valencia The church of San Miguel Arcángel stands in the centre of Quart de les Valls, in the province of Valencia. Its construction, in Baroque style, began around 1771 on top of an earlier small Gothic temple and continued until 1780. It is attached to the former convent of the Servites, which served as a religious school and seminary until its secularisation in 1835; afterwards, the conventual building, by then in ruins, was demolished in 1965 and only the church was preserved. It is a single-nave temple with a straight chancel and side chapels between the buttresses, covered with a barrel vault with lunettes, and its bell tower, attached to the main façade, has three sections: the lower ones in rubble masonry and ashlar, and the bell section in brick. circa 1771 Photo: Juan Emilio Prades Bel (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Quart de les Valls
