Castle of Estivella Monument · Estivella, El Camp de Morvedre, Valencia Castle of Estivella, one of the characteristic heritage elements of the comarca of El Camp de Morvedre, also known as the castle of Beselga. Of Muslim origin, it was destroyed by the agermanats of Morvedre and later rebuilt by Graciano de Monsoriu, until its definitive abandonment in the 17th century; it was restored after the collapse of its north wall. It is believed that the first settlement of Estivella was located in its surroundings before the present town centre was formed, with a documented presence as early as 1248.
