La Mola de Benassal

La Mola is the original nucleus of Benassal, where a stretch of wall is preserved along with the towers of Garcés, Redona and la Presó, as well as an access gateway with an arch of Arab tradition. The so-called Mola building, from the 13th century, preserves an arch from the original walls and today houses the Archaeological Museum of the Alto Maestrazgo and a museum dedicated to the writer Carles Salvador i Gimeno.
