Hermitage of la Virgen del Sargar

The hermitage of the Virgen del Sargar, from the thirteenth century, stands to the north of Herbés, on the left bank of the River Escalona, with the hermit's house and the Casa de la Cofradía (confraternity house) attached. The rogation of San Marcos makes its way there, held on the Saturday or Sunday nearest to 25 April, at which coca (flatbread) and casqueta are handed out among those attending.
