Spring of el Berro Nature · Altura, El Alto Palancia, Castellón The Fuente or Manantial del Berro, in the Paraje Natural del Berro of Altura, sprang forth on 25 March 1915, putting an end to a drought that had been afflicting the town for decades; popular belief attributed the discovery of the water to a miracle of the Virgin of the Cueva Santa. Since then, every 25 March the Fiestas del Berro are celebrated, culminating in the ceremony of the emergence of the Aguas del Berro, declared of tourist interest, in which the townspeople relive that day. The programme also includes the procession of Our Lady of the Cueva Santa, fireworks, musical performances and bullfighting festivities.
