Mills of the Plana of Xàbia Monument · Xàbia/Jávea, La Marina Alta, Alicante Image of Xàbia/Jávea, not of the place itself. A group of eleven windmills from the 14th to the 18th centuries in Xàbia, used for grinding grain. They stand on a spur of Mount Montgó towards Cape San Antonio, within the natural park, facing south above the town of Jávea. They are cylindrical structures about 6 metres in diameter and 7 in height, which were fitted with a conical roof and a set of sails. Today only the cylindrical structures survive, although the town council of Jávea planned in 2024 to restore and recover the three mills it owns.
