The Cueva Beneito of Muro de Alcoy is classified among the Middle Palaeolithic sites of the Comunitat Valenciana, together with El Salt de Alcoy and the Cueva del Cochino of Villena, all concentrated in the south of the region. It is one of the prehistoric landmarks of the interior of the province of Alicante.
