Tower of el Consell

Tower begun in 1441 on the plaça de Baix in Elche (Alicante), which over time incorporated the market lonja (exchange hall) and other adjoining buildings to form the complex now occupied by the city's town hall. Its construction, dated to the 15th century, made it the seat of municipal power, a function it retains today as the administrative heart of Elche.
