The Muslim lordship of Crevillent Historical milestone · Crevillent, El Baix Vinalopó, Alicante Image of Crevillent, not of the place itself. After the Christian conquest of 1244, Crevillent kept a Muslim government of its own as a vassal lordship, an exceptional case in the southeast of the peninsula. That autonomy lasted until 1318, when the place passed to the administration of the Kingdom of Valencia. 1244-1318 Photo: Carlos Quesada Granja (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Crevillent
