A small municipality of 70 inhabitants in the valley of Améscoa Alta, between the Sierra de Urbasa and Sierra de Lóquiz, watered by the Uyarra river. Its Basque name refers to 'valley' (harana); it preserves the parish church dedicated to the Assumption.
