The Parque Natural de Urbasa y Andía, covering more than 21,000 hectares spread across both mountain ranges and the Limitaciones de las Améscoas, reaches 1,492 meters in altitude and preserves dolmens, tumuli and menhirs. On its slope, within the territory of Améscoa Baja, lies the nature reserve of the source of the Urederra river, whose waters are turquoise owing to their high carbonate content.
