A municipality of the Merindad de Sangüesa, with its administrative seat in Domeño, comprising the councils of Arboniés, Bigüézal, and Domeño along with the places of Adansa, Iso, Napal, Orradre, Usún, Berroya, and Murillo-Berroya. Its name traditionally reflects its position as a linguistic frontier between Basque-speaking and Romance-speaking areas; the Basque form, Erromantzatua, was officially recognized in 2022.
