Iglesia de San Juan Bautista y puente medieval de Irañeta Monument · Irañeta, Sakana, Navarra Image of Irañeta, not of the place itself. The church of San Juan Bautista, in Neoclassical style and designed by Pedro Manuel de Ugarmendía, began construction in 1807 and was not finished until 1879 for lack of funds; its tower was added in 1847. North of the village, a bridge of medieval origin crosses the Arakil river, and the municipal area also preserves the hermitages of San Miguel, at the foot of Peña Madalen, and of San Gregorio, documented since the 16th century and restored in 1985. iglesia 1807-1879 Photo: Ibai1984 (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Irañeta
