Real Fábrica de Armas de Orbaiceta

An industrial complex built in the time of Carlos III on the site of an old ironworks, with workers' houses arranged around a central square. It suffered repeated attacks because of its proximity to the French border and ceased operations in 1884 after disputes with the valley's residents. Its ruins, amid the forests of the Selva de Irati, are today a notable relic of industrial archaeology.
