Iglesia de San Nicolás de Bari, Burguete Monument · Auritz/Burguete, Pirineo, Navarra Documented since at least 1104 and rebuilt several times after successive fires -its current appearance dates from a restoration carried out between 1945 and 1968-, it preserves a Baroque doorway from 1699. It presides over Calle Mayor, along which runs the French Camino de Santiago, and in 2014 it was listed as an element associated with the Camino, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993; this is a distinct and lesser-ranking recognition than the direct inscription received by the Real Colegiata de Roncesvalles. 1104; portada de 1699 Photo: JLVwiki (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Auritz/Burguete
