A municipality of 4.36 km² 16 km from Pamplona, formed by the settlements of Ciriza and Elío; it borders Etxauri to the north and east, Zabalza and Echarri to the south, and Guesálaz to the west. It celebrates its patron San Miguel on 29 September. Teacher and historian María Puy Huici Goñi was born in Ciriza.
