Church of San Pedro Apóstol de Ribatejada Monument · Ribatejada, Cuenca del Medio Jarama, Madrid Image of Ribatejada, not of the place itself. A mudéjar-style church built in the 15th century and restored in recent years, the town's main heritage landmark. On the outskirts, badly deteriorated, survive the ermitas of la Soledad and of Nuestra Señora de la Concepción. Built with courses of brick and masonry and covered by a gabled roof, it stands out for its tower at the foot of the church, slender despite the building's modest height, with two original tiers and a third and fourth added later, the last of these housing bells in the 17th century. Inside, with three naves separated by pointed brick arches, it is covered with king-post timber roofing, and it retains a limestone holy-water font dated 1609 and a baroque chapel of the Christ added to the original building.
