The town charter of Galapagar

Juana of Castile and Carlos I granted Galapagar the title of town, confirmed in Toledo on 20 April 1529. The municipality afterwards went on losing its old alfoz, from which places such as Colmenarejo, separated in 1630, emancipated themselves.
