Name change from Horta to Horta de Sant Joan

Historical milestone · Horta de Sant Joan, Terra Alta, Tarragona

The municipality was called simply Horta until the reform of the municipal nomenclature of 1916, which required repeated place names to be distinguished. The dedication to Saint John was then added, linked to the order that governed it.
