Benissanet waterwheel Monument · Benissanet, Ribera d'Ebre, Tarragona The sínia of Benissanet, known as the Sénia del Mas Taniet, stands northeast of the urban centre, in the Cotxos area, next to the old road to Móra. Built in the 19th century, it consists of a circular tower and an excavated well, in roughly dressed stone and brick fragments joined with mortar. The tower retains an opening designed to hold the sails of a windmill. It is now abandoned and partly deteriorated, although it is listed as protected in the Inventory of Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. Photo: Salàs (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Benissanet
