L'Ametlla de Mar's Festa Major d'Hivern is held in the village formed in the 18th century as a fishing settlement in the Golf de Sant Jordi, whose fleet was the first in the Principat dedicated to tuna and which today is a benchmark for Mediterranean bluefin tuna.
