Church of Sant Andrèu de Salardú Monument · Naut Aran, Val d'Aran, Lleida The church of Sant Andreu de Salardú is a transitional Romanesque temple of the 12th and 13th centuries, located in the upper part of Salardú, in the municipality of Naut Aran (Val d'Aran), and the seat of the Festes de la Santa Creu, which every 3 May bring together the surrounding villages. It houses the Crist de Salardú, one of the most representative carvings of Aranese Romanesque art. It is a three-nave building, the central one covered by a groin vault on cruciform pillars, and a chancel with three semicircular apses decorated with carved corbels. Its south doorway, with five graduated archivolts on columns with capitals carved with flowers and geometric motifs, is crowned by a chrismon with features unusual among other Aranese churches.
